Yoga is more than a practice—it’s a homecoming. A return to wholeness, to presence, to the divine essence that lives within each of us. At its heart, yoga is a bridge: between mind, body, and soul; between breath and awareness; between the self and the vast interconnected web of life.
My own path into yoga began gently in the year 2000, but it wasn’t until the loss of my mum that it became a deep, transformative part of my life. In the rawness of grief, I found solace on the mat. What began as a search for a healing retreat led me to teacher training with iFlow Yoga in 2015. That journey unfolded further in Rishikesh, India, where I completed my 300-hour advanced training with the Association for Yoga and Meditation.
Since then, yoga has become my way of being in the world. A source of strength, clarity, creativity, and peace. It continues to teach me how to soften and how to rise.
I feel deeply honored to hold space for others on their own journeys—to be a guide, a witness, a conduit for the healing, awakening, and soul-restoring power of yoga. Whether you’re a complete beginner, returning to the mat after injury or illness, or simply seeking a deeper connection with yourself and the mystery of life, you are welcome here. Yoga should be for every body and every being.
I believe in the kind of yoga that supports you not only to cope with life’s pitfalls, but to leap over them with grace and courage. Yoga is something we must experience, in our own time and in our own way, to truly understand its power.
Class Style
I teach a mindful yoga flow, yin yoga, and a gentle practice that’s especially suited to beginners or those in recovery. All classes are grounded in breath, mindfulness, and alignment—and offer layered options so you can practice at your own pace. Themes often emerge from my own spiritual path, insights, or the books that light me up. Each class is a conversation between movement, stillness, and the stories we carry.
This is an evolving practice, and I’m right there alongside you—learning, growing, discovering.
Why 42 Yoga?
The name 42 Yoga is a playful wink to Douglas Adams’ Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, in which 42 is famously revealed to be the “answer to life, the universe, and everything.” It reminds me that while life can be chaotic, mysterious, or absurd, it’s also beautifully meaningful.
I’m a lifelong book lover and former journalist, and I often weave story and symbolism into my classes—especially through my themed yoga sessions. (Perhaps you’ve floated down the rabbit hole in my Alice in Wonderland class, or strolled through mindfulness with Jane Austen?) These literary journeys aren’t gimmicks—they’re ways of making meaning, of accessing wonder and wisdom through the body.
If you too are a lover of words, stories, yoga, and soulful exploration, you’ve found your people.
